Update: Since writing this review a lot has changed for me.. In a positive way! I got double jaw surgery and my chin shortened in February of 2016. I also got another surgery in March of 2016 to correct something. The second surgery wasn't necessarily needed but my surgeon felt it should be done and he wanted to provide the best care/results possible. I have so much confidence in how I look and feel and it's all because of Central Lakes Oral and Facial Surgery!
I am honestly very surprised to read some of the negative reviews about Central Lakes Oral and Facial Surgery. I have had nothing but positive experiences there. They literally changed my life (and my face) and I can't thank them enough! They have gone above and beyond. They have put up with me and the issues that I was having following jaw surgery. I have some more issues that started recently and I'm going in for another appointment. I feel bad annoying them.. but, I know they care about their patients and want to make sure everything is going well!
I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. Dr. Anderson (my main doctor) and Dr. Van Surksum are amazing doctors. Dr. Anderson has gone above and beyond for me. I'm very grateful for that. The staff is also very kind and make your visit a comfortable one. I feel very fortunate that my orthodontist referred me to this place. No regrets! :)
Worst customer service I have ever received. They deserve 0 stars. I waited 6 days to call after referral was sent. I called them to see if they got it. Explained they had but would have to hear back from insurance and they had not sent anything out to my insurance yet. Called my insurance they said they would cover it. Called them back stated insurance covers it. Asked them to call or fax my insurance to verify to speed this along they said they don't do that and could take a few weeks to even schedule an appointment due to them having to send something in mail and receive something in mail. After I explained I have waited almost a week receptionist became rude. Called my dentist who couldn't believe that nothing had gotten done also verified they did send the referral 6 days ago. I got a different referral and an appointment 2 days later.
No regrets coming here. I'm very grateful my orthodontist referred me to Central Lakes Oral and Facial Surgery. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs any type of oral or facial surgery. :)
Fantastic staff and service! They were very accommodating to my ever changing schedule. They made my daughter feel at ease before the procedure and gave great follow up care. Thank you!
All around this place is careless and not a good place to go. The professionalism of this place is ridiculous. It's from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. Go somewhere else . You'll regret going here!
I had a follow up visit with the other oral surgeon and he was amazing, however I think I will be taking my results and going to a different surgeon to have the tumor removed.
Dr. Van was very condescending towards me and make snide comments that did not need to be made while I was waiting to have an emergency molar pulled due to an infection. He conducted a biopsy of a tumor in my jaw bone without consent or checking with my emergency contact person. If I would have had a choice, I would have walked out. During recovery I was ignored by him while he talked to my driver. I left with no information regarding a tumor in my jaw bone and a bad taste from his unprofessionalism.
